Want to keep a board straight and flat without having to glue or attach it to a larger assembly? The solution is simply to rip the board in two and glue it back together. Of course, you have to carefully rearrange the ripped parts so their tendencies to warp or cup will be perfectly opposed to one another – Nick demonstrates just how to do this. This procedure also lets you reclaim badly warped lumber that would otherwise be unusable.
