Woodworking is full of rules, and I break many of them on purpose.

That does not mean the rules are useless. Most of them exist for a good reason. The problem is that woodworking involves different tools, materials, cuts, and conditions, so words like “always” and “never” rarely tell the whole story.

In this video, I break down seven common woodworking rules:
